It came to me on March 1st 2017, while formatting my computer and looking at the Cornell Woolrich book “Four Novellas of Fear”, that Abridged Pause Publishing may not be the right imprint title for any biography or short story book printing. The Cornell Woolrich book was labeled by as an A.J. Cornell Publications.
It made me think that I had not often seen the word “publication” in a printing house and then compared Abridged Pause Publishing to others. It occurred to me that “publishing” mostly referred to a music business and that I needed to prepare a new name for an eventual book, pamphlet or any printed material.
I went through several film and music books that I had in my office and noted down the various options; Abridged Pause Press, Abridged Pause Books and Abridged Pause Publications.
In using Abridged Pause Press or Publications, it would allow me to retain the catalog number APP1, which I had prepared for the Billowing Tempestus magazine back in late 2015/early 2016.
But I found that sonically, the other two options sounded better.
It is the latest addition to the Abridged Pause Enterprises umbrella corporation.
Rain thought that Abridged Pause Publications sounded better, more anglophone, so I went with it.
on March 1st 2017, I attempted to separate the text publishing from the music publishing by creating Abridged Pause Publications for the text work.
On December 23rd 2017 I decided to re-merge these two categories back into Abridged Pause Publishing.
