Bitter Reviews was going to be a website/blog that focused on writing cocktail bitters reviews. During the cocktail revival in the early 2010’s, dozens of blogs surfaced to write about bourbon, whisky, old distilleries. At first I had the idea to start one writing reviews of rye whiskeys but because Quebec had only one American rye available at the time (Woodford Reserve’s limited Rye bottles) I felt it was pointless to attempt it. I knew it would take me far too long to start receiving free bottles for review.

Then came the idea to do one for bitters. The name Bitter Reviews was an obvious play on words. It was going to feature product details, company details, reviews and pictures.
