Mon Truck

During a Christmas party (could have also been Easter, in fact I’m almost positive it was Easter) on my fathers side, I believe it was in 1997, my cousin Maxime Julien and I got bored and started coming up with lyrics for some corny song we while the rest of my cousins were likely playing Nintendo. We set up in his garage and with a pen and paper and jotted these lyrics down. I vaguely remember that maybe afterwards we went upstairs to read them to the adults. The lyrics were a satire of people who place too much importance on the size and power of their pickup trucks.

Date could be:
Easter March 30th 1997
Christmas December 25th 1997
Easter April 12th 1998
Christmas December 25th 1998

could even be 1999 or 2000 since I was still hanging out with Max then.

These lyrics were later re-written for the song of the same name during The Slopin Fairy 7 in the fall of 2003. These lyrics were very probably extremely different, but this is as best as I can remember, and I’m assuming that these were the stanzas we used back then.

later copied by Feeder on “Buck Rogers”
