On the afternoon of September 23rd, 2011, I told my best friend Jeremy that we needed to hang out that day, and to bring his camera because I was due for a new video and most of all a new interview. The evening started out with going to play pool at Boul Noir, where we always go, with some many drinks. And as usual, we also went to La Banquise to have our usual poutines. The debate was as to where we were going to go for this filming. I wanted something that fitted Soufferance, as the top of Mount Royal had fitted Vision Éternel exactly a year prior. Soufferance was a dirtier type of music, a lot darker and more complex. I wanted an abandoned building, and so we went to the Jacques Cartier bridge building, a white monumental structure that was built in the 1920’s intended as the first casino. No body went there anymore.
We got there after twelve, and we set up, before it started raining. We had to test out different spots before finding the right amount of light. I told Jeremy to put the camera lower and to shoot me looking upwards. I wanted a look of confusion and superiority. The fact that it was empty made me more confident, and it showed compared to the VE interview.
I started putting the material together on September 24th, and after the usual video problems, it was complete on September 27th.
