The way I got over Dylan was when I started talking to Anne-Marie Bouchard (Bilou). I was still living in Edison but I was planning to move back to Montreal to go to cooking school at l’ITHQ. I actually moved to Montreal a week after recording this. We really liked each other and it was pretty certain that we would date when I came back to Montreal. I wrote many poems for her, and on July 20th 2006, recorded this Goo Goo Dolls cover o f “Iris”. I never liked them much but this song was a bit of alright, and she really liked it. I tuned Mina in whatever open B tuning this song was in, and recorded a quick demo of it for her, but told her it would be much better when I played it for her in person.
