Vision Lunar – Luna Nebula

By this point Triskalyon was going down. And Lunar was on its way too. I had recorded a few new demos between “Luna Maria” and this, and it seemed that no one else but me liked them. And it hurt me really bad. I’ll have to make an individual post about one of those songs because one was specifically emotional. So anyway, Lunar was fading and Triskalyon was on the edge of breaking up, partly due to the fact no one else liked my stuff anymore. I wanted to give a big fuck you with class, and it’s no secret to anyone that I’m obsessed with Faith No More. So on the morning (morning to me, but to you it would be early afternoon) of February 25th, I recorded a quick demo of “Pristina” for Surhim. I recall his astoundment  by saying “It takes you two minutes to make something like this!”, of course not knowing it was a Faith No More cover at the time… But if it was good enough to impress him that much with just a demo, I knew it was the proper way to end Lunar. Of course I didn’t know I would end up writing more songs, in fact I didn’t even plan to ever do music again when Triskalyon ended… The artwork for this was originally done by Lansquenet, who had done all the Lunar covers at this point, but he sent me some godawful cover and I decided I wouldn’t use it and made my own. I also recall sending this to Lunar fans who had told me they didn’t like Faith No More, and when they learned this was a FNM cover, they started having more respect for them.

This was the first Vision Lunar demo to feature artwork made by myself because Lansquenet/Der.Walsch had sent me an inferior design, which I really did not like. In reality it was the same layout, but with a different moon on the cover. I found a better moon online and photoshoped it in to make the one that was used. I was still new to photoshop so you can see some areas where I pasted in the image.
