In September 2011 I was looking for new labels to work with after Quartier23 had ruined a couple of other deals. Abandonment Records wanted to use an unreleased song on a compilation to be called “Welcome to Our Decayed Factory”. At the time I had some demos recorded that I didn’t know what to do with. I took a song called “Bonbon”, polished it up into “Au revoir, larmes de lune” (which eventually became “In a Lonely Place”) on October 21st, 2011 and sent it to them. I didn’t get any news from the label for a whole year, so I assumed it would never get used so I later included it on “Memories of a City”.
In September 2012, I get an email from Nik with a picture of the CDs saying the album would be released soon. At the time the covers still had the title as “Au revoir, larmes de lune” and I asked him to change it. He said it would take some time to get the designer to fix it, so I waited again.
