I have always been a fan of 90’s emo and post-hardcore music. So when I met Simon Talbot in 2009 when he was playing in The Zyphoid Process (which later changed name to Great White North) we started talking about doing an emo side project together. It was mostly talk for a couple years but on July 9th 2010 I actually recorded a song on my phone of an emo song I had just started working on. I sent it to Simon but the quality was pretty bad and I guess he didn’t really dig it.

In 2011 I go in the mood to do the band again and after seeing that Emily-Anne St-Amant was looking for a band on Facebook, we met up to jam in March 2011. After going for some Mexican food at Three Amigos on St. Denis, we went back to my place on Henri-Bourassa to jam for a couple of hours to Texas Is the Reason. I played guitar and Emily sang to “Blue Boy”. I hit up Simon to let him know of where we were and even posted ads on Kijiji and Craigslist but nothing ever happened and the idea phased out.
