During my days in Triskalyon I became fascinated with the idea of fallen archangels. I had been interested in the Satanic bible since 2005 when I was with Brandi, but it wasn’t until 2006 or 2007 that I finally bought Paradise Lost by John Milton. When Triskalyon was lacking members and I invented my double, Peine, I initially compared Virkelix and Peine to Lucifer and Satan (two angels that were often misinterpreted as the same person but who were in fact completely different people, which was the opposite of what I created). This got me going on an idea for a book that I wanted to write, mainly for myself, but that would tell the story of my recent misfortunes, twisted into a fallen angel type of story.
The first draft had three parts to the book:
- Part I – Love within Obsession.
This was going to be the beginning, starting with the hospital days and including the Brandi days (as suggested by the title, a reference to the Vision Éternel album “Seul dans l’obsession”) and the obsession that came after her. - Part II – Pity of the Plains
This part would be comprised of the Dylan days and my time spent in Ontario (although the province is not known for its plains, I was in Scugog where there was really nothing around). - Part III – Triskalyon
I believe that was a working title because I’ve always been more poetic than that. This part would have been about the need to create to relieve pain and make life tolerable. It was also up to that point that my life was at then.
I never got further than the first sentence of the third part (where I begun writing). I think I stopped because Triskalyon ended and I was too depressed to go on. I’m unsure when the idea originally came in my mind but the only documentation of this is dated March 20th 2007 (after the breakup of Triskalyon).
He was ignorant to the going of his life, yet he knew creations had to keep being created.
The closest example that I could give of what the book would have been like, would be my biographies that were on the Triskalyon website at the time. There are two versions of it, this first one greatly relies on the Satanic image.
Virkelig Død (Also known as Virkelix) is a fallen archangel. He was expelled from the skies for pursuing perfection, and was banished in the shadows that separate the skies from Hell.
In order to be admitted to Hell, a number of sacrifices and destructions to humanity need to be accomplished. For the short, unnumbered period of time spent in the shadows, the weapon of creation will be used, and will haunt all humanistic creatures. Sounds repulsing hearing, Words abrupting sight, and Feelings shedding the skins of the human race, will occur with (t)his presence.
His poems are known to revolve around self-degration, loneliness and despair, while his music perceives self-destruction and agony. The phases in which his works are classified in, conceive his unappreciated presence among the humans.
Virkelix awaits for Hell’s messenger to come, and welcome his presence to the darkness. When the time comes, the last action of perfection will take place, leaving scars of agonic pain on earth, and forever perturbing the humans that have mistrusted him.
The second is toned down and more appropriate. I believe this version is more mature (although edited only a month later).
Virkelix is a fallen archangel. He was expelled from the skies for pursuing perfection, and was banished to the shadows.
For the short, unnumbered period of time spent in the shadows, the art of creation will be used, and will reveal all left emotions. Sounds ranging from repulsion of hearing to peaceful beauty, words abrupting sight to words blurring visions, and feelings shedding the skin from pain, will be transmitted with his presence.
His poems are known to revolve around self-degration, loneliness and despair, while his music perceives self-destruction and agony. The phases in which his works are classified in, conceive his unappreciated presence from other walking things.
Virkelix awaits for the time to come, when the last action of perfection will take place, leaving a mark in this world of sorrow, and forever leaving this unhappy place.
The third one is the biography for Peine.
Peine is a second class demon who has risen from the shadows to join Triskalyon. This act of destruction was awaken on January 15th, 2007. He held the position of the Second Hierarchy as the Prince of bitterness and pride.
